Required products :

For the dough:

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup rapeseed oil
  • 3 tea cups self-swelling flour
  • 2 tablespoons salt

For the filling:

  • 1 3/4 tea cup feta cheese
  • 3 tablespoons fresh parsley

For spreading:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon whole milk


Method of preparation :

Heat the milk slightly to about 40 degrees. Mix it in a large bowl with the yeast and sugar. Leave for 5 minutes until pores form. Add the egg and fat. Gradually add the flour and knead a soft, elastic dough. You can also use a food processor or mixer that has a dough attachment.

Shaped into a ball, transfer it to a clean oiled bowl, sprinkle with flour on top and leave to rise, covered with a towel, for about an hour and a half.

Crush the feta cheese and add finely chopped parsley, mix well.

We offer you two options for shaping the cakes, and you can try it in your own way.

Divide the dough into 13 equal parts and make small balls. Cover them and let them rise again.

Once they have doubled, roll a ball on baking paper and put 1 tablespoon of the filling. Fold at both ends to get a slightly oval shape.
