Required products :

  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard
  • 60 grams of finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • 60 grams of frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • juice of 1/2 lemon (if you can find mango powder, use 1-2 teaspoons of it)
  • salt to taste
  • a little water (about 20 milliliters if you use mango powder)
  • 600 grams of potatoes, boiled and coarsely mashed
  • 4 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 packet of pie crusts
  • 5 tablespoons melted butter for spreading
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds for sprinkling

Method of preparation :

Heat the oil and fry the mustard seeds for 10 seconds.

Add onion and ginger, fry for 2-3 minutes. Then add the peas and spices. Pour lemon juice (if you use mango powder, and a little water, but if you put lemon, water is not needed), add salt.

Cook for 1-2 minutes and add the potatoes, coriander and after 2-3 minutes remove from the heat. Season to taste.

Turn the oven to 200 degrees.

Take 1 crust and grease it with oil.

Fold 1/3 lengthwise and on the other side so as to obtain a long three-layer strip.

Put a full teaspoon of the mixture at one end of the tape, leaving 2 inches from the end.

Take the bottom corner next to the stuffing and fold it diagonally over the stuffing, forming a small triangle. Continue to wind in this way, folding small triangles until you reach the end of the tape. Place in a baking tray lined with parchment paper and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Shape all the crusts and stuffing in the same way.

Bake for about 30-35 minutes, until golden and crispy.

Turn in the middle of baking.

Serve.
