How to cook delicious shrimp

Shrimps have become a part of our culinary life. We add shrimp to salads, cook risotto, paella, spaghetti with them, serve them in sauces. Shrimp meat contains protein and calcium, is rich in cholesterol, but is a low-calorie dish.

The main method of cooking shrimp is boiling. To properly weld them, consider some of the nuances:

- in supermarkets, they most often sell boiled-frozen shrimp, so you don’t need to cook them for a long time;

- overcooked shrimp become rubbery;

Shrimp can be cleaned both before and after cooking. Shrimp cooked in shell will be more juicy;

- shrimp with boiled meat float up. Immediately after surfacing, take them out - they are ready;

- The cooking time of shrimp depends on their size. The smaller they are, the faster they will be ready. Small shrimp are boiled for 1.5-2 minutes, large tiger shrimp - 2.5-3 minutes;

- do not take a lot of water for cooking shrimp, as then they will turn out to be tasteless. The mass of water should be 2-2.5 times the mass of shrimp;

- shrimp should be placed in boiling water;

- the best spices for cooking: salt, bay leaf, lemon juice, cloves;

- if you dip the boiled shrimp for 2 minutes in cold water, you can more easily remove the shell.
