How To Cook Smoked Mackerel With Brown Rice, Peas And Spicy Spices - Recipe

Required products :

  • 200 grams of brown rice
  • 200 grams of smoked mackerel fillet
  • 2 hard boiled eggs
  • peas to taste
  • 500 milliliters of water
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 crushed clove of garlic
  • 2 cardamom pods
  • 2 cm fresh ginger root (peeled and grated)
  • a few strips of saffron
  • a pinch of chili flakes
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • olive oil

 

Method of preparation :

Finely chop the onion and fry it in hot olive oil for 3 minutes, until soft. Then add the ground spices, garlic, cardamom, ginger, chili flakes, saffron, salt and pepper. Let everything cook for about 2 minutes and remove from the heat.

Take care of the rice. Fill it with water and bring to the boil. When this happens, let it boil on low heat until desired.

Boil the peas, mix with the rice, olive oil with the spices, add the pieces of fish and the chopped boiled eggs.

You can sprinkle the dish with chopped green onions and serve with lemon slices.

You can replace the mackerel with trout, so you will get a more refined and delicate taste.
