Required products :

  • 230 grams of cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • 280 grams of frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup canned artichoke, drained and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup parmesan, grated
  • 2 stalks of fresh onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon crushed garlic
  • frying oil

About the breading :

  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon flour
  • 1 teaspoon breadcrumbs

Method of preparation :

  • In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese with the mayonnaise and puree until smooth.
  • Add spinach, artichokes, cheese, green onions and garlic.
  • Cool the mixture for about 20 minutes until firm.
  • Scoop out the cheese dough with a small spoon and shape the meatballs with your palms. Arrange them on baking paper.
  • Transfer the eggs, flour and breadcrumbs to three separate bowls.
  • Dip each cheese ball into flour, egg and breadcrumbs and return to paper.
  • In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat, keeping in mind that the fat should be about 2-3 inches deep.
  • Fry the meatballs until golden brown, remove them with a slotted spoon and transfer them to kitchen paper to drain off excess fat.
  • Serve warm, garnished with your favorite sauce.
