Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
Mix onion with almond milk in a bowl and set aside for 15 minutes. Then strain the onion from the milk and return to the bowl, sprinkle with flour, season with salt and pepper and stir.
Transfer the onion strips to a large pan, the bottom of which you have covered with baking paper, and sprinkle with olive oil. Bake, stirring once or twice, until onions are crispy (about 25-28 minutes).
