Clean the mushrooms well. Do not wash porcini mushrooms before drying.

Slice the mushrooms into 2mm thick slices. Arrange in a single layer on the racks of the electric dryer.

Step 4

 

Dry porcini mushrooms until tender at 55°C for 2 to 5 hours. Dried mushrooms should feel dry to the touch, bend slightly, and break with some effort. Store dried mushrooms in a dry, tightly sealed container in a cool, dark place.
