Each hostess, laying a festive table, tries to take care not only of delicious and beautifully served dishes, but also of a beautiful table setting, so that everything looks elegant and festive. After all, a beautifully set table is the very first and most vivid impression of the mastery, skill and sense of style of the hostess. And every hostess wants this experience to be as good as possible.
Napkins play an important role in table setting. Of course, you can buy festive bright napkins and simply fold them next to the plate in a triangle. But for a festive table, this is too simple. I propose to serve a festive table for Easter with napkins in the form of boats known to us from childhood. Such neat napkins-boats will cheer up everyone present, because the boats are a symbol of spring, the awakening of nature, the first streams, and they will feel very harmoniously on the Easter table.
In addition, small notes with the names of those invited can be put into such boats so that everyone knows where to sit down. You can also put a small holiday cookie, flower, chocolate egg or candy in the boat.
Step 1
For work, we need a bright napkin and scissors.
Step 2
For the boat, we need a rectangle, so scissors should cut off a square napkin from the bottom in order to get a rectangle.
Step 3
Fold the napkin in half to mark the center line.
Step 4
Unfold the folded napkin and wrap the two upper corners to the intended center line.
Step 5
Raise the bottom edges of the napkin up: one on one side, and the other edge on the other side of the napkin.
Step 6
Tuck loose corners to make a triangle.
Step 7
Bring the corners of the base of the triangle together.
Step 8
The result should be a square.
Step 9
Fold the bottom corner up.
Step 10
Perform similar actions on the other side. Get a triangle.
Step 11
Bring the corners of the base of the triangle together.
Step 12
Again it will be a square.
Step 13
Pull the square by the upper corners and spread them apart.
Step 14
Dilute the corners until you get a boat. Smooth the sides and give the boat stability. The napkin is ready to serve.
