Ingredients:
  • Water
  • spinach fresh
We will need:

  • Metal sieve
  • wooden spoon
  • Knife
  • Freezer bags
  • Board kitchen

How to freeze spinach step by step instructions with photos

Step 1

 

For work, we need fresh spinach (1 medium bunch), a knife, a kitchen board, a saucepan, water (500 ml), a spoon, freezer bags.

Step 2

 

Cut spinach leaves, removing rough petioles and damaged leaves. Rinse the leaves under running water.

Step 3

 

Cut the leaves into strips 1-1.5 cm wide.

Step 4

 

Dip prepared strips in boiling water for 30 seconds.

Step 5

 

Remove quickly using a metal sieve, cool in ice water for 8-10 seconds. Let the water drain and use a spoon to squeeze out the remaining water.

Step 6

 

Arrange the prepared spinach in portions in freezer bags, squeezing out as much air as possible. Send properly prepared packages to the freezer. Frozen spinach is ready. Use as needed.
