Each housewife tries to serve not only delicious, but also beautifully formed dumplings. Especially beautiful are small dumplings, for 1-2 bites, pot-bellied, neatly and correctly shaped, which keep their shape.
It turns out that in order to beautifully form a dumpling and give it an original appearance, you need to make very little effort. Such beauty is molded very simply and quickly. I propose to learn how to sculpt dumplings with wavy edges.
Recipes with dumpling dough
Step 1
For modeling, we need dough for dumplings (300 grams), potato filling (200 grams), a rolling pin, a kitchen board, a glass with thin walls.
Step 2
Roll out the dough thinly.
Step 3
Cut out circles using a glass.
Step 4
Place 1 heaping tablespoon of filling on each circle. In order for the dumplings to have a beautiful “pot-bellied” look, you should put a lot of fillings.
Step 5
Pinch the dumpling tightly, bringing the edges together.
Step 6
To form the wavy edge of the dumpling, take the dumpling in your left hand, and with the index finger of your right hand, begin to form a wave. To do this, starting from the edge of the dumpling, lift the edge of the tuck in one place with your index finger and press it against the base of the dumpling.
Step 7
After 1-1.5 cm, again lift the edge of the tuck with your index finger and press it against the base of the dumpling.
Step 8
Form 5-6 wavy "clips" on each dumpling.
Step 9
Vareniki are ready for cooking.
