While most drinks could hardly leave the feeling of satiety, the so-called smoothie successfully achieves this.

Apples are one of the few types of fruit that contain pectin. It naturally slows down digestion and leaves a feeling of satiety according to a study published in Gastroenterology .

Evidence suggests that people who consume one apple during a meal experience satiety to a greater extent than those who consume the caloric equivalent of juice or apple puree.

The favorite of the movie - popcorn , has a low energy density - 90 calories . Popcorn occupies a relatively large place in the stomach , as a result of which they leave a feeling of satiety. Consumption of a large bowl of popcorn can be misleading that the caloric intake is high, which is not the case.

In order to be healthier, care must be taken with what fat the popcorn is prepared with, and it should also not be salted too much.

Figs are a great food that is suitable for fans of sweets. Fresh figs have a thick texture and a sweet flesh. It is rich in fiber , which reduces the release of sugar into the blood .

Oatmeal is another rich source of fiber - it also has exceptional "saturating properties". When cooked with water or milk, oats thicken and take longer to pass through the digestive system - thus satiety lasts longer.

What are grains with similar properties?

Wheat nuts are whole grains, they have a very high content of protein and fiber. Protein "unlocks" the hunger hormone  ghrelin to "tell" the brain that we are satisfied.

And while most drinks could hardly leave the feeling of satiety , the so-called " smoothie " successfully achieves this. With its help, hunger disappears, and at the same time at the next meal we eat less.

However, it is important to make sure that the drink does not contain large amounts of sugar , as well as other high-calorie ingredients, such as fruit juices and various syrups, which would "neutralize" the health benefits of the smoothie.
