Myopia (nearsightedness)

The menu for myopia should be varied, nutritious, rich in vitamins (especially A and D), minerals and trace elements (such as: magnesium, zinc, copper, chromium).

Myopia (nearsightedness) is an ophthalmic disease in which a person sees perfectly all objects that are close to him, but can not distinguish those in the distance - he sees them vaguely and blurred.

The menu for myopia should be varied, nutritious, rich in vitamins (especially A and D), minerals and trace elements (such as: magnesium, zinc, copper, chromium).

It is necessary to constantly increase immunity, because its condition affects the development of myopia. If the body is weak, the disease progresses.

To be consumed:

  • black bread, bran bread;
  • fish, milk and vegetarian soups or cooked from lean meats;
  • fish, meat (poultry, beef, rabbit, seafood, lamb);
  • vegetables: sauerkraut and fresh cabbage, sea cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli, peppers (especially yellow and red), pumpkin, beets, peas (fresh green);
  • parsley, dill, spinach, lettuce;
  • oatmeal, buckwheat, pasta from dark varieties of flour;
  • eggs;
  • yogurt products: cottage cheese, cheese, cream, kefir, yogurt without additives;
  • dried fruits: raisins, apricots, prunes, figs;
  • fresh fruits and berries: melons, apricots, peaches, buckthorn, blueberries, black chokeberry, blackcurrants, oranges, tangerines, grapefruit;
  • drinks: compotes, green tea, fresh juices, infusions of rose hips, hawthorn, carrot juice, blueberry juice;
  • vegetable fats: mustard and linseed oils, olive oil.

Meals should be separate, up to 6 times a day, but not less than 4.

Harmful products for myopia:

  • sausages and smoked products;
  • fatty meats;
  • fatty, salty and spicy dishes (these include canned foods and marinades);
  • alcoholic beverages;
  • sweet carbonated drinks;
  • Cafe;
  • cocoa;
  • strong tea;
  • margarine.
Limit consumption to:
  • year;
  • sweets;
  • butter;
  • white bread and pastries.
