Pomegranate Juice Reduces Stress During Work

Pomegranate juice is high in antioxidants that neutralize free radicals in the body.

Pomegranate juice helps to overcome stress in the workplace and at the same time makes us more enthusiastic about office tasks, researchers say.

The volunteers who took part in the study consumed 500 milliliters of pomegranate juice a day for two weeks. At the beginning and end of the study, their heart rate was measured. In addition, they fill out questionnaires in which they explain their feelings and mood about their work.

After the two weeks in which the volunteers consumed pomegranate juice, feelings such as guilt, nervousness, shame, are less common in the completed questionnaires. Normalization of the pulse level was also reported. Almost everyone who took part in the experiment was more enthusiastic, active, inspired than before.

The team from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh explains that the findings will be useful for all those who are busy during the working day and face stressful situations on a daily basis. Scientists claim that thanks to pomegranate juice, people will relieve chronic stress and improve their overall health.

It has been proven that pomegranate juice provides the body with a wide variety of nutrients. A previous study conducted by the same scientists found that after a month of consuming a bottle of pomegranate juice a day in middle-aged men there is a reduction in the formation of fat cells in the abdomen.

It also reduces the risk of heart disease, seizures and kidney disease.

Pomegranate juice is high in antioxidants that neutralize free radicals in the body. For this reason, scientists attribute to it the properties to fight tumors, heart disease and the aging process.
