Proven: A Glass Of Beetroot Juice Lowers Blood Pressure!

Bright red beet juice contains substances that lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart disease and heart attack.

It turns out that one glass of beetroot juice a day significantly reduces blood pressure in just 24 hours, according to the results of a clinical study published in the Journal of the American Health Society, Hypertension. The research team recommended that beet juice be included in the treatment of high blood pressure.

The team from the William Harvey Research Institute at Queen Mary University in London compared the results of two groups of patients, one taking 250 ml of beet juice each day and the other tablets containing the corresponding nitrates.

The therapy was successful in both groups, there was a decrease in blood pressure. The conclusion of scientists is that nitrates in beets have a beneficial effect on health. They form the gaseous substance, nitric oxide in the blood, which has the ability to dilate blood vessels and lower blood pressure.

High blood pressure or hypertension occurs in one in five people, and is a major risk factor for developing heart disease, heart attack and kidney failure.

The scientific team is amazed by the fact that the consumption of such a small amount of juice has this effect in blood vessels and the body and in general that the nitrates in beets have the ability to reduce blood pressure.

The team's discovery of the beneficial effect of beet juice is two years ago. In the present study, scientists are already learning the mechanisms by which the substances contained in beets act in the circulatory system and the body.

Beetroot juice, scientists add, improves tone and recharges with a surge of energy.

Last year, another team found that the juice toned after a grueling workout. The effect was observed in young men who had to drink 250 ml of red liquid every day for a week.

Doctors strongly recommend drinking beet juice, but warn of the presence of certain side effects - with high consumption, the urine becomes reddish, the condition is known as bituria ...
