You will need:
450 g of green beans; 1/2 cup flour; 1/2 cup cornstarch; 1 tsp salt; 1/2 tsp black pepper, onion and garlic powder; egg; 1/2 cup heavy cream; vegetable oil for frying.
We wash the beans, dry and deprive the dry tails. In one bowl, mix dry ingredients - flour, starch, pepper, onion and garlic powder; in another lightly beat the egg with cream. Dip the pods in the creamy-egg mixture, then bread and - in hot oil (beans should be dipped in oil, so don't be stingy) in a pan. Beans are fried quickly, do not go anywhere. Remove with a slotted spoon on paper towels and prepare the next batch.
A simple and quick salad for dinner or lunch. And besides, it is very satisfying and useful!
Salad Ingredients:
a handful of green beans; 70-80 g of cottage cheese or pickled cheese (cheese, feta); a clove of garlic; a handful of peeled walnuts; lemon juice with olive oil for dressing in a ratio of 1: 3; pepper to taste.
Rinse the green beans, cut off the dry tails and cut into 2-3 parts. Boil in salted water for 10 minutes, then drain in a colander. Nuts can be roasted in a dry frying pan for a couple of minutes. Mix olive oil with lemon juice, add garlic passed through a press to the sauce. Put the beans on a plate, wipe the cheese or cottage cheese with your hands, sprinkle with walnuts, pepper. Drizzle with sauce.
For an appetizer you will need:
300 g of green beans; 1/3 cup grated hard cheese (Parmesan) 2 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil; clove of garlic; 1 egg; salt to taste.
Turn on the oven at 210-220 degrees. Rinse the beans, cut off the tails and pat dry with paper towels. In a bowl, lightly beat the egg, salt, minced garlic and oil. Dip the beans in the mixture and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with grated cheese and mix with your hands. Bake until golden brown or 12-15 minutes. For a snack or side dish, cook beans with walnuts or pecans.
To make green beans with caramelized walnuts, you will need:
50-60 g of peeled walnuts a few handfuls of green beans with cut tails; 70-80 g butter; 2 small onions (preferably shallots); 2 tbsp. spoons of brown sugar; salt and black pepper to taste.
Put the nuts on a baking sheet and send for 6-7 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees, then cool and chop coarsely. Boil beans in salted water for 7-8 minutes, then put in cold water to stop the cooking process. Dry on paper towels. Saute diced shallots in butter until translucent. Reduce the heat to medium and add the sugar, when it is almost dissolved, add the nuts and fry for a minute, stirring. Add beans, salt and pepper, heat for 2-4 minutes and serve!
