Obesity is a risk factor for heart failure. In the latter, there is a lack of pumping function of the heart, as a result of which the metabolic needs of the peripheral organs are not met. Some of the symptoms are easy fatigue, swelling of the legs, shortness of breath. Among Americans, where the weight problem is perhaps the most serious, heart failure is the number one reason for hospitalization. Not only that but also due to death, heart failure takes a leading place.

The role of obesity in high blood pressure and poor metabolic status, which leads to ischemic heart disease, contributes to these negative statistics. Also, high weight increases the requirements for the work of the heart.
