What Happens To Excess Calories? (video)

As it is not possible to determine whether the stomach is full during a meal, it is possible to overeat.

What happens to the food we eat? It passes through the esophagus and enters the stomach, where the first part of the process of its processing by the body begins - enzymes are released and food begins to break down with the help of gastric juices.

Not only does the stomach start the digestive process , but at the same time the pancreas is involved, which releases enzymes that break down proteins, carbohydrates and fats. However, the pancreas is not the only organ involved in this process.

Another is the liver, which secretes bile, which helps break down fat in the small intestine. And when it consumes alcohol, it also produces alcohol dehydrogenases.

All these processes occur in the body while eating. As it is not possible to determine whether the stomach is full during a meal, it is possible to overeat . All those extra calories start to be converted into fat only eight hours later.

Even if we don't believe it, the next day the festive dish can "sit" on the stomach.
