What Should Men Eat?

Fish and seafood, whole grains, Brazil nuts, broccoli, bananas and strawberries are the foods with the most positive effect on the good health of men.

Men's nutrient needs are specific. It is desirable that they be selected so as to have a maintenance effect on muscle mass and to be part of a comprehensive diet program with a prophylactic effect against diseases that are registered in men. Properly selected foods and regular physical activity can become a preventive measure against two groups of diseases with the highest risk for the male population over 35 years - cardiovascular disease and cancer.

What should men regularly provide for themselves at the table? Fish and seafood

essential omega-3 fatty acids found in oily fish are good for the heart and immune system. They have a prophylactic value against prostate cancer. Oily fish that should be consumed regularly are sardines, salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring. Of the seafood, oysters are especially recommended. Several of them a day cover the body's need for zinc, which is involved in many physiological processes, from DNA reproduction to the repair of the male seminal glands. Studies have shown that taking daily doses of zinc during the day can protect damaged prostate cells that lead to cancer.

Soy and whole grains

Whole grains provide the body with vitamins and minerals that are good for the heart. The nutrients they contain take part in the structure of the muscles, which is why they should not be neglected as a type of food by the stronger sex. Whole grains have nothing to do with weight gain, so their daily portion should not be a concern. Although soy is not one of the foods recommended for men, it should not be completely deprived of it. Soybeans are rich in isoflavonoids, which protect against prostate disease and obesity. According to a study, consuming 25 g of soy protein a day helps to normalize blood cholesterol levels.
