How to celebrate the Year of the Pig? Clothing for the New Year should be yellow, green, brown (mustard). A black dress with gold will also look chic. You can put on a pig costume - piggy pink will amuse guests!
How to decorate an apartment? Decorate the house with branches of spruce, pine or rowan, install them in clay vases or pots. Be sure to decorate the house with acorns, chestnuts, beans, the Pig will be delighted with such a "treat"!
What to serve to the New Year's table to please the symbol of the year?
Serve hot roasted or stewed poultry: chicken, duck, goose, etc. Dishes from beef, lamb, rabbit are also suitable. By the way, pork is not banned! Aspic, decorated with a patch, will go with a bang.
For salads and side dishes, use beans, peas, chickpeas, lentils, lots of greens.
For dessert, serve fruit, caramelized nuts, sweet pastries.

Any sandwich, canape or spread cracker can be decorated with a cucumber Christmas tree. All you need is a vegetable peeler.
Appetizer Ingredients:
9 tartlets; 100 g curd cheese; 50 g lightly salted or smoked red fish; fresh or dried chopped dill, 1 tsp; 1-2 fresh long cucumbers.
Mix chopped lightly salted or smoked salmon, curd cheese and dill in a bowl. You can add a couple of drops of lemon juice, black pepper. Fill the tartlets with curd and cheese mass.
Rinse cucumbers, dry with paper towels. Cut long, thin strips with a vegetable peeler. Part with large seeds is better not to use. Snake the strip onto a skewer or toothpick. A skewer with a winter theme will look beautiful on the New Year's table - a snowflake, a gnome's hat or a Christmas tree toy.
Luxurious salad with crab sticks, chicken, canned corn and eggs. Looks great on the table! And cook in just half an hour. By the way, salad dressing does not contain mayonnaise!
You will need:
200 g chicken fillet; 5 eggs; 200 g crab sticks; 350 g canned corn; 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (6 or 9 percent); 1/2 tsp mustard.
Boil chicken fillet and eggs until tender. Chicken can also be used baked or fried.
Let's make the salad dressing first. In a tall bowl, coarsely chop 4 crab sticks, 2 peeled eggs, add vinegar and mustard. Whisk with a blender. Add some liquid from canned corn. You should get a thick creamy consistency. Put the dressing in a confectionery or plastic bag, in the latter cut off the tip. It is better, of course, to use a pastry bag with an asterisk nozzle.
Spread the salad on a flat dish in a confectionery ring or a detachable baking dish (ring) (14-16 cm). It is possible and simply in layers without additional funds. The bottom layer is chopped chicken, grease with dressing, the second layer is 3 peeled and chopped eggs, dressing again, the third layer is corn dried on a paper towel (leave a little for decoration), dressing. The last top layer is chopped crab sticks. Garnish salad with dressing and corn. Let it brew for a couple of hours in the refrigerator before serving.
Serve a very beautiful salad with salmon in the form of a roll. It deserves its name - "Royal" - for its delicious fish and caviar.
Ingredients:
200 g lightly salted salmon or trout; 3 carrots; 2 potatoes; 3 eggs; 2 tbsp. l. red caviar; mayonnaise and herbs to taste.
Boil carrots, potatoes and eggs until tender. Boil vegetables in their skins. Clear everything.
You will need foil and a grater. Lay a sheet of foil, spread the grated carrots on a large square on it. Try to spread the carrots in a layer without gaps. Lubricate carrots with mayonnaise. Then lay out a layer of grated potatoes, mayonnaise. Grated eggs and mayonnaise are used for potatoes.
On one edge of the square, stepping back 5-6 cm from the edge, lay out the fish fillet in a strip, sprinkle the remaining surface with chopped herbs.
Starting from the edge with the fish, use the foil to roll the roll tightly. Send for 6 hours in the refrigerator. Unwrap before serving, garnish with mayonnaise and caviar. Enjoy!
From ready-made puff pastry, pickled mushrooms, cheese and herbs, you can cook an unusual snack. Perfect for stimulating the appetite, as well as for strong drinks.
You will need:
300 g of ready-made puff pastry (better than yeast); 100 g of cheese; yolk for lubrication; 2 cloves of garlic; blue onion head; 3 art. l. mayonnaise; pickled mushrooms and herbs to taste.
Roll out the dough into a layer, 5-6 mm thick. With a glass, cut out circles for the base and the same number of rings of a smaller diameter than the circles.
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees, cover the baking sheet with parchment and lay out the mugs on which attach the rings. Lubricate the blanks with beaten yolk. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.
For the filling in a bowl, combine grated cheese, mayonnaise and garlic passed through a press. Fill the cooled flounces with the stuffing, sit the mushrooms on top and garnish with thinly sliced onions. Onions, if you want, can be lightly pickled or simply scalded with boiling water. Greens are welcome.
A few circles of sausage and a couple of olives will help turn any salad into a symbol of 2019. But this pig is special - with kiwi, chicken and vegetables.
For the salad you will need:
300 g chicken fillet; 340 g canned corn (one can); 2 kiwis; 150 g of yellow cheese; 4 eggs; carrot; 6 art. l. mayonnaise; salt to taste; 3 pieces of sausage (doctor's or chicken); 2 olives or grapes.
Boil chicken, carrots and eggs until tender. Drain liquid from corn. Grate cheese on a fine grater, eggs and carrots on a coarse grater. Rip the chicken into shreds or chop with a knife.
Spread the salad in layers in a slide. Lubricate each layer with mayonnaise and salt to taste, if you want. Let's start with the bottom layer: grated eggs, chicken fillet, carrots, grated cheese. Lubricate the entire resulting slide with mayonnaise and spread it with corn.
Peeled kiwi cut into half rings and lay out from the base with an arc upwards. From circles of doctor's or chicken sausage we will make a patch. On one mug, using a straw for drinks, we cut out two nostrils. Cut two more pieces into triangles. Cut out the tail from the leftovers as well. Lay out the muzzle and insert olive eyes.
Squid carcasses are great for stuffing. And if we decorate them a little, we will get luxurious piglets with mushrooms and rice.
Ingredients:
2 squid carcasses; 120 g of boiled rice; 100 g of champignons or other mushrooms; 1/2 onion; 1/2 carrot; 50 g of yellow cheese; salt and herbs to taste; 3 art. l. vegetable oil; 4 peppercorns; 3 mugs of sausage and 2 peppercorns for decoration.
Boil rice until tender. Fry the chopped onion with grated carrots in oil until soft over medium heat. In the same pan, fry the champignons cut into small cubes. In a bowl, mix the fried vegetables, mushrooms, boiled rice, chopped herbs and most of the grated cheese (leave a little to sprinkle the squid before baking). Salt.
Put the squid carcasses in a bowl, pour boiling water over it, drain and immediately add ice water. Clean the squid from the film, entrails, cut out the chord and side parts of the tail, rinse.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Stuff the squid tightly with the filling, place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese. Bake in a hot oven for 15 minutes. Before serving, decorate with herbs and make a patch of sausage and peppercorns.
Whole oven baked chicken always looks great on the table. In addition, in the year of the Pig, such a hot dish will come in handy. We will marinate the chicken in soy sauce with mustard.
Ingredients:
chicken (about 3 kg); 2 tbsp. l. soy sauce, olive oil and mustard; 1 st. l. dried garlic (or 2-3 fresh cloves); 150 g curd cheese (possible with onions).
Spread gutted and washed chicken with soy sauce with mustard, leave to marinate for 20 minutes or several hours. Then cut across the breast and unfold, brush with dried or chopped garlic. Lay flat on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the top of the chicken with cream cheese.
Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes, then lower the temperature to 180 degrees and bake for another hour or until the meat on the legs comes off the bone.
Serve with rice, potatoes or mashed potatoes.
Soft honey biscuit with condensed milk cream! Gorgeous! This dessert will appeal to both children and adults.
For cakes you will need:
300 g flour; 100 g of sugar; 200 g butter at room temperature (150 g for cream); 2 eggs; 2 tbsp. l. honey; 1/2 tsp soda or baking powder; 200 ml boiled condensed milk (for cream).
In a saucepan, mix eggs, sugar, honey, soda and 50 g of butter. Put on a slow fire. Stirring constantly, bring to a foamy mass, but in no case boil! Pour into a large bowl and add the sifted flour, stirring each time until smooth. Then knead with your hands. Divide the finished dough into three parts, wrap each with cling film and refrigerate for half an hour.
After 30 minutes, roll each ball into a thin rectangle, place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and prick with a fork. Bake each cake for 3-5 minutes in the oven at 200 degrees. Cool the finished cakes.
For cream, beat condensed milk with 150 g of butter with a mixer. Lubricate the cakes with cream and lay one on top of the other. Cut out squares or circles, you get cakes. Grease the finished cakes with cream on all sides and decorate as desired. You can sprinkle with coconut flakes or chopped nuts with a blender. Before serving, keep the cakes in the cold, let them soak.
Shortbread cookies will bake for only 20 minutes. The same goes for cooking. And we recommend cutting out the details of piglets with children.
You will need:
200 g flour; 100 g butter; egg; 50 g of sugar; a pinch of salt and vanilla; raisins for decoration.
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add chopped butter in pieces, beat in the egg, grind into crumbs. Gather the dough into a ball, if necessary, add a spoonful of water, wrap with cling film. Send for half an hour in the refrigerator.
After 30 minutes, roll out into a layer, 4 mm thick. Cut out mugs with a glass and put them on a baking sheet covered with parchment, make a snout and ears from the rest of the dough, put the eyes out of raisins. Bake for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees, focus on golden color.
The airy chocolate-honey gingerbread smells of cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and nutmeg. A real holiday!
Ingredients:
egg; 1/2 cup sugar; 2 tbsp. l. yogurt; 100 g butter; 2 tbsp. l. liquid honey; 150 g flour; 2 tbsp. l. cocoa powder; 1/2 tsp baking powder; 1/2 cup nuts and dried fruits; 1 st. l. spices for gingerbread (a pinch of cardamom, allspice and nutmeg, 1/2 tsp each of cinnamon and ground cloves); icing sugar and confectionery sprinkles for decoration.
Pour dried fruits with hot water for 10 minutes, then drain in a colander. Chop nuts.
In a tall bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until it dissolves. Melt the butter in a saucepan and set aside. Add to eggs along with sour cream and honey. Whisk. Then enter dry products - flour, cocoa, baking powder, spices. Stir. Add dried fruits and nuts, mix again.
Put the gingerbread in a greased form and send to bake for 50 minutes in an oven preheated to 160 degrees. Bake until toothpick dry, then cool.
In order to decorate the Christmas tree gingerbread, cut it into two parts with a sharp knife along. Then cut the pieces into triangles. Insert wooden sticks (as for ice cream) into each at a wide base and decorate with icing.
