Detoxification plays a very important role in maintaining and improving health. Our lifestyle and environment have changed a lot in recent years, so our nutritional needs have also adjusted. The development of the food industry, globalization, constant lack of time, permanent stress - all this inevitably leads to a violation of the internal balance of the body . Our natural metabolic processes are subjected to colossal overloads and cannot always independently cope with the problems that arise, quickly restore and maintain health. That's why proper nutrition strategies and smart food choices are crucial to maintaining internal balance. Detoxificationshould be considered first of all as a process of cleaning and replenishing the supply of nutrients necessary for health. Healthy nutrition is the main goal of any detox diet , not weight loss at all, as many mistakenly believe.
Detoxification is important for cleansing our tissues and organs, reducing oxidative stress, reducing inflammation, strengthening the immune system, and improving metabolism.
There is no clearly established schedule for cleaning. For some people, it is optimal to detox once a year, for someone twice, and someone feels good with a seasonal cleanse. The best way is to listen to your body. You should seriously think about detoxification if you feel heaviness, lack of energy, burnout and generally lead an unhealthy lifestyle. Intoxication causes frequent health problems and suppression of the immune system. If you often get sick or feel weak, detox is probably the best thing you can do for your body .
A detox program for several days with only juices and teas is not a detox program . You can spend a day on juice (a liquid diet ) - but only one day and no more, because the metabolic pathways for liver detoxification require the presence of several amino acids, in other words, proteins (plant and animal sources) are crucial in the detoxification program . It is recommended to follow 2 phases of liver cleansing, each of which requires special nutrients and enzymes to ensure the correct detoxification process .
Everyone who lives a modern life can go through a competent detox program ( best of all - in clinics and under the supervision of specialists). Only pregnant or nursing mothers cannot follow a detoxification program , as toxins can enter the child's body through the mother's fluids: the placenta or milk.
In such cases, for example, they start a program with a restrictive diet : food without caffeine, sugar, alcohol, gluten, lactose, animal fat, with a limited amount of animal proteins is allowed. This diet is critical to ensure proper and effective detoxification . The elimination of caffeine and sugar can be very problematic and difficult to perceive, withdrawal and headaches can occur. Also, all artificial sweeteners are not allowed, salt is present in limited quantities.

Preventive detoxification can be carried out every 6 months. After all, you can detox after periods of excessive consumption of refined foods or alcohol. Spring is the perfect season for detox .
