According to research, it is enough to eat 2 pears and 4 servings of vegetables a day (the portion is equal to the amount of a tennis ball) to minimize the risk of stomach cancer.


The third type of cancer against which pears are beneficial is esophageal , and in particular ESCC, as evidenced by a large-scale study by the American National Institutes of Health and the American Pensioners' Association, which involved nearly 500,000 people. Apples, plums and strawberries are also useful in this regard, according to the same study.

 


It is no coincidence that the pear is recommended to be one of the first solid foods that infants are fed - it is one of the fruits that are easiest to digest and least sour. It is also hypoallergenic. To be useful, however, the pear must be consumed whole without peeling, as its skin contains 3-4 times more phytonutrients than the inside. It contains about half of the fiber in the fruit. Otherwise, at least 1/3 of the weight of the pear is fiber . A medium-sized fruit, of nearly 200 grams, carries a little over 100 kcal. Three quarters of this weight is water, which indisputably confirms the fact that the pear is dietary. With a high concentration in pears is the presence of folic acid, choline , vitamin C , vitamin A and beta-carotene , as well as lutein and zeaxanthin , vitamin K - they are all popular enough with their health benefits. It certainly makes it useful for the nervous system and eyes, at least.

It is also rich in phosphorus , calcium , magnesium and extremely high in potassium , which makes the pear suitable for the prevention of high blood pressure and osteoporosis.
