Candied Ginger

Ingredients: 200 Grams Of Fresh Ginger Root 200 Grams Of Granulated Sugar 2.5 Teaspoons Of Water Preparation: Peel The Ginger, Cut It Into Pieces - Round Or Oblong. Composes

Necessary products :

  • 200 grams of fresh ginger root  
  • 200 grams of granulated sugar
  • 2.5 teaspoons of water

 

How to prepare :

Peel the ginger, cut it into pieces - round or oblong. Put it in a suitable container and fill it with enough water to cover it completely. Let it boil for 40-60 minutes (until soft).

During this time, make a syrup. Dissolve the sugar in the water and bring to a boil.

Drain the remaining liquid from the prepared ginger using a colander. You can use it to make tea, for example, but it needs to be diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 1 (you can also use more water) because the decoction is sharp.

Pour the ginger into the syrup and cook over high heat until the root absorbs the sweetness and becomes transparent. Then carefully (it is hot) roll the pieces in granulated sugar and arrange on paper to dry.
