Diet № 2 is intended for use in chronic gastritis with secretory insufficiency in mild exacerbation and in the recovery period after exacerbation; in acute gastritis, enteritis, colitis during recovery and transition to a balanced diet; in chronic enteritis and colitis after and without exacerbation, without concomitant diseases of the liver, bile ducts, pancreas and gastritis with unchanged or increased secretion; during recovery after acute infections and surgeries.

Purpose of the diet

To provide complete nutrition, to stimulate the secretory function of the digestive organs, to normalize the motor function of the gastrointestinal tract.

General characteristics of the diet

The diet is physiologically complete, moderately sparing and stimulates the secretion of the digestive organs. Dishes that have undergone various heat treatments are shown - cooked, stewed, baked, fried (but without the formation of a hard crust, not breaded with breadcrumbs or flour), food purees rich in connective tissue or fiber. The diet does not include dishes and products that stay in the stomach for a long time, are difficult to digest, irritate the lining of the gastrointestinal tract, very cold and hot dishes, spicy spices.

Chemical composition and caloric content of the diet

Protein - 90-100 g (60% animal), fat - 90-100 g (25% vegetable), carbohydrates - 400-420 g, salt - up to 15 g, free liquid - 1.5 l. Caloric content - 2800- 3000 kcal. Eating 4-5 times a day, without plenty of food.

Allowed and forbidden foods

Bread and bakery products
  • Allowed: wheat, unleavened bread or rusks; pies stuffed with boiled meat or fish, eggs, rice, apples, jam; non-fat dough products.
  • Prohibited foods and dishes: fresh bread and bakery products from butter and puff pastry.
Soups
  • Those prepared on the basis of weak and lean fish and meat broths, vegetable and mushroom broths with finely chopped vegetables or mashed vegetables, potatoes are allowed; cereal porridge, noodles, noodles. For tolerance - soups of fresh cabbage, beets with finely chopped vegetables, pickles.
  • Prohibited: milk soups, pea soups, beans, millet.
Meat and birds
  • Lean meats without skins, tendons and skins can be eaten; boiled and baked, may be smeared with egg, but not breaded. Minced beef, beef, rabbit, chicken, turkey, tender lamb and pork. Beef, rabbit, chicken and turkey can be prepared and cut into pieces (beef - less often). Boiled tongue, milk sausages, baked pancakes with boiled meat.

Dairy products
  • Allowed: sour milk drinks, fresh cottage cheese and dishes with it (souffle, pudding, etc.), cheese - grated or in pieces, sour cream - up to 15 mg per dish, milk and cream as an additive to food and beverages.
Eggs
  • Can loosely boiled or steamed, baked or fried (without crust) omelets, egg white omelette with cheese.
  • Hard-boiled eggs are prohibited.
Cereals
  • Various porridges boiled with water or milk (except millet and barley) are allowed; steamed or baked puddings; steamed or fried meatballs, without hard crust; noodles, noodles.
  • Consumption of legumes is not allowed; the intake of millet, barley, corn is limited.
Vegetables
  • Allowed: potatoes, zucchini, squash, carrots, beets, cauliflower. If tolerated - usually white cabbage and green peas. Vegetables should be cooked, stewed or roasted in pieces, in the form of puree or pudding. Ripe tomatoes, finely chopped green fresh herbs and spices added to dishes.
  • Prohibited: raw unpeeled vegetables, pickled and salted, onions, radishes, sweet peppers, cucumbers, turnips, garlic, mushrooms.
Appetizers
  • Salads of fresh tomatoes, cooked vegetables with meat, fish, eggs (without onions, pickles, sauerkraut) are allowed. Cheese with a mild taste, minced herring, jelly meat, fish and tongue, liver pate, lean ham, sturgeon caviar, dietary and dairy sausages.
  • Prohibited: very spicy and fatty appetizers and appetizers, smoked foods and canned food.
Fruits, sweets and confectionery
  • You can eat ripe fruit (including wild) in the form of puree or very soft. Compotes, pickles, jellies, mousses. Compote of crushed dried fruits (oshav). Baked apples. Beverages
  • Tea with lemon, coffee and cocoa with milk or water are allowed; vegetable, fruit (and forest) juices diluted with water. Broth from rose hips and bran.
  • Grape juice is prohibited.
Fat
  • Butter, melted butter, refined vegetable fats can be used.
  • The diet does not allow the consumption of bacon, beef and sheep fat, cooking fats.

Approximately the menu for diet number 2:

  • Breakfast: soft-boiled egg, cheese, oatmeal with milk, tea;
  • Lunch: meat broth with pasta, fried meatballs without breading with carrot puree, sour;
  • Afternoon snack: decoction of rose hips;
  • Dinner: rice pudding with fruit sauce, tea.
