As early as the 1960s, science became aware of the fact that the residence time of food in the body before its decomposition depends on its temperature.
It has been proven that if the food is warm, it is processed for 2-3 hours. This means that the large protein molecules are completely broken down into amino acids. Cold food leaves the stomach faster without normal and complete digestion.
Unprocessed proteins enter the small intestine (where food is broken down) and interact with the bacteria responsible for breaking down carbohydrates. In this way, the number of bacteria that "live" thanks to meat and other proteins is rapidly increasing. As a result of all this, dysbacteriosis develops - the metabolism is disturbed and the risk of various diseases and obesity increases.
There is nothing scary if a person from time to time allows himself to eat ice cream or another cold specialty, experts reassure. But regular eating in fast food restaurants, where food is taken at the same time as cold drinks, can have unexpectedly big consequences for health.
In the so-called fast food, for example, there is no balance between the content of proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and trace elements. From it a person receives mainly carbohydrates and fats, and consuming iced drinks, he often feels a feeling of hunger, and therefore a desire to continue eating.
