Stearic acid is also found under the name fatty acids. Refers to the group of emulsifiers. Obtained by chemical treatment of fats of vegetable and animal origin. There are also essential fatty acids, ie those that the body is unable to synthesize on its own.
The additive E 570 is used in the food industry as a foam stabilizer. Prevents precipitation. It is used in confectionery, cocktails, ice cream and other desserts that require whipping to make. It can also be used as a glazing agent - when applied to the surface of a product, it forms a shiny protective layer. In addition, the additive has the ability to prevent or reduce the formation of foam. It is also used as a base for soaps.
