The food supplement E 578 has been sufficiently studied and is widely used in various industries. Calcium gluconate is a white crystalline or granular powder, soluble in water, and poor solubility in alcohol and ethers. The supplement is obtained synthetically and contains about 9% calcium.

Use

In the food industry, the additive E 578 is part of various sweets, milk formulas for children, beverages containing coffee. It is also used in the production of cosmetics, and is also used in agriculture in the preparation of animal feed.
