Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Spray a rectangular cake pan and cover with baking paper.
Using a mixer, mix the butter with the sugar, then add the eggs one by one.
Mix the flour with the baking powder and salt and transfer to the eggs. Stir and put 1/4 of the dough in a separate bowl. Add the caramel sauce to the small part and mix well to combine.
Alternate a few tablespoons of the regular mixture and the caramel, forming piles, and fill the prepared pan. Flatten and pass a stick several times through the cake to obtain different patterns from the two mixtures.
Bake for 1 hour, until dry.
Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely.
Drizzle the cake with caramel sauce and sprinkle generously with sea salt.
