Required products :

  • 350 grams of flour + more flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 60 grams of brown powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • 3 eggs
  • 75 grams of black olives, chopped and dried with kitchen paper
  • 1-2 tablespoons savory
  • 40 grams of parmesan, grated
  • chickpea hummus for serving (optional)

Method of preparation :

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and cover the bottom of the pan with parchment paper.

Mix the flour with the baking powder, sugar, salt and pepper. Add the eggs and knead the dough.

Add the olives, savory and parmesan and continue to knead on a lightly floured kitchen surface.

Divide the dough into 4 parts, which you roll out with lightly floured hands in the shape of a sausage about 30 centimeters long. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until done. Remove from the oven and cool.

Reduce the oven temperature to 140 degrees. Cut the long baguette into slices diagonally and arrange them lying in the same tray. Bake for 20 minutes on one side, turn and bake for another 20 minutes on the other or until golden.

Cool and serve the bruschetta with chickpea hummus if desired.
