Imagine combining the two best Italian dishes - pizza and pasta. In this recipe we do just that - we take the typical products and taste of pizza and combine them with an appetizing sauce of minced beef and tomatoes. See how.

Required products :

  • 300 grams of fusilli
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 220 grams of mushrooms
  • 500 grams of minced beef
  • 1 onion
  • 1/2 cup red or green pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil or 2 teaspoons fresh
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
  • 400 grams of pizza sauce (canned or homemade)
  • 1 can of 400 grams of chopped tomatoes
  • between 80 and 150 grams of boneless chopped olives (the amount varies according to your taste)
  • 150 grams of piperoni
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 300 grams of grated mozzarella

Method of preparation :

Boil the pasta as indicated on the package.

Cut the mushrooms and fry them in olive oil. When they turn brown, take them out and set aside.

Put finely chopped onion and minced beef in the pan. Stir them to grind the meat. Add the chopped pepper and crush the two cloves of garlic. Continue cooking, stirring constantly, until the meat is browned.

Add basil, oregano and hot pepper, followed by pizza and tomato sauce, along with olives and chopped chorizo ​​salami. Add the mushrooms and simmer until the sauce thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Mix the prepared sauce with the pasta. Grease a small rectangular pan with olive oil and pour half of the mixture inside. Grate 1/2 of the mozzarella and put the remaining pasta on top, finish with the other part of the cheese.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 25-35 minutes until the cheese is browned.
