How To Cook Cake With Oatmeal, Apples And Blackberries - Recipe

Required products :

  • 500 milliliters of low-fat milk
  • 2 small cinnamon sticks
  • 6 peeled cardamom pods
  • 2 apples, peeled and cut into small cubes
  • 200 grams of oatmeal
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 100 grams of pecans, chopped
  • 320 grams of blackberries

for garnish:

  • milk or low-fat yogurt
  • maple syrup or honey

Method of preparation :

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees or to 180 degrees with a fan.

Pour the milk into a small saucepan, add the cinnamon, cardamom pods and diced apples. Cover with a lid and simmer for about 10-12 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside for at least 15 minutes, then remove the cinnamon sticks and cardamom pods.

Transfer the apples and milk to a large bowl and puree the mixture with a fork, then pour into a large bowl and mix with the oatmeal and egg, vanilla extract, baking powder, pecans and blackberries. Stir to combine all ingredients well. Transfer to a large pan and bake in the oven for about 30-35 minutes or until done.

Serve with yogurt or fresh milk, maple syrup or honey if desired.
