How To Cook Cornbread With Fresh Milk, Honey And Butter - Recipe

Required products :

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons corn flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons fresh milk
  • 1/4 tea cup of honey
  • 2 eggs

Method of preparation :

  • Preheat oven to 230 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, mix the two types of flour with the baking powder and salt.
  • Add the butter and rub it with your fingers until crumbly.
  • In another bowl, mix the eggs, honey and milk. Stir.
  • Add the egg mixture to the bowl with the butter crumbs and stir again without overdoing it.
  • Put the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter in a cast iron pan or baking dish measuring approximately 23 cm and melt it in the oven.
  • Pour the mixture and bake the cornbread for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown or until the toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  • Wait for it to cool briefly before cutting and serving.
