Required products :

  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil / cold pressed /
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh chopped parsley for sprinkling

Method of preparation :

  • Peel and grate the potatoes.
  • Use a colander to rinse them and remove the separated starch.
  • Drain well from the water, then squeeze them between your palms. Finally, dry with a clean household towel. Keep in mind that they should be as dry as possible.
  • Season the grated and dried potatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a non-stick pan about 22 inches in diameter.
  • Spread the flavored potatoes in the pan and press them down with a spoon. Their height should not exceed 1.5 centimeters.
  • After 5-8 minutes, the underside of the hash brown will turn golden brown and the potatoes will be crispy.
  • Turn it over on a large plate, then return it to the pan to bake on the other side.
  • Sprinkle the edges of the potato hash browns with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  • Cook until a golden brown crispy crust forms.
  • Serve in a large plate, before sprinkling it with freshly chopped parsley.
  • Serve as a warm appetizer or side dish.
