How To Cook Gingerbread Pancakes - Recipe

Required products :

  • 150 grams of self-swelling flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 2 teaspoons brown powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tablespoon maple syrup + more to serve
  • 200 milliliters of whole milk
  • coconut oil or other cooking fat
  • 100 grams of dates, cut into cubes
  • 100 milliliters of fray cream (or fruit yogurt)

Method of preparation :

Combine flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon and sugar with a pinch of salt. Mix the egg, maple syrup and milk. Gradually pour the liquid ingredients into the dry ones, stirring until a smooth pancake batter forms.

Heat the coconut oil (or other fat) and pour the mixture into the pan to make 2-3 small pancakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles begin to appear on the surface, then turn and cook for another 1 minute or until done.

Serve the pancakes with maple syrup, dates and cream fries or yogurt with fruit if desired.
