The mills are very tasty, especially served with rice. If you like watermelons with onions, but want to give them a slightly different taste, prepare them with this gentle creamy sauce.

Required products :

  • 700 grams of watermills
  • 3 teaspoons water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/3 teaspoon oil
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons chopped onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tea cups chicken broth (homemade or from the store)
  • 4 teaspoons cooked rice

Method of preparation :

Clean the mills and cut them. Put them in a saucepan, salt with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and boil in 3 cups of water. After about 30 minutes, when they have softened, drain them.

Heat the fat in a pan and add the flour, stir to make a paste, which you cook until it turns brown - about 8 minutes.

Add onion, salt, pepper and chicken broth. Stir to dissolve the flour, add the watermelons.

Cook for about 10 minutes until the onion is soft.

Serve with boiled rice.
