Required products :

  • 2 tea cups white flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups of buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking oil + more to serve
  • maple syrup for serving

Method of preparation :

Mix the flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and baking soda, stir with a spoon.

In another bowl, mix the buttermilk, eggs and melted butter.

Pour the liquid ingredients into the flour and mix with a spatula until smooth, but be careful not to overdo the mixing.

Put the butter in a pan heated to medium heat. Once the oil starts to foam, put 1/3 cup of the mixture in the pan.

Bake the pancakes until you get holes and the edges are slightly browned. Turn the pancake over and bake until golden.

Serve the pancakes with a little butter and fly with maple syrup.
