Method of preparation:

 

Divide the yolks and whites into two separate bowls. Add the sugar and vanilla to the egg whites, beat until you get a thick cream. Beat the yolks with the oil and add the protein mixture. Stir gently and set aside.

Sift the flour, add the baking powder and a pinch of salt, pour in the egg mix and stir until the products are mixed. Pour the dough into a greased and floured cake tin, preheat the oven to 180 degrees and bake for 40 minutes. Cool and cut the tops into two or three pieces.
