How To Cook Stuffed Onions With Mushrooms, Bacon And Cheese - Recipe

Required products :

  • 8 large onions
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 500 grams of mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 100 grams of smoked bacon, cut into cubes
  • 150 grams of tomato puree
  • 200 grams of grated yellow cheese
  • 8 thin slices of yellow cheese
  • 100 grams of cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh parsley, finely chopped

Method of preparation :

  • Carefully remove the onion core and chop finely. Set the onion cups aside.
  • Heat a little oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the onions and carrots for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the mushrooms and bacon, stir and cook until the liquid evaporates.
  • Add the tomato puree and parsley, stir and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Remove the mixture from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature.
  • Add the diced yellow cheese and cream cheese and stir to distribute evenly.
  • Distribute the filling in the onion cups and cover each with a slice of yellow cheese.
  • Carefully transfer them to a pan and add about 500 milliliters of water to the bottom.
  • Bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 30 minutes.
  • Beat the eggs with the sour cream in a bowl and pour the stuffed onion cups with the mixture.
  • Bake for another 5-10 minutes and serve.
