Learn how to cook "Sweet puff pastry with apricot filling, honey and cinnamon". Delicious recipe.

Required products :

1 kg of puff pastry

For the stuffing:

450 grams of dried apricots
400 milliliters of water
230 grams of sugar
1 lemon

For sprinkling and spreading:

2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons honey
flour for sprinkling the dish
butter to lubricate the dish
powdered sugar for serving

Method of preparation :

Fill the dried apricots with water, close with a tight lid and leave for 2 hours. Then place the dish on the stove and cook the fruit for 20-30 minutes on low heat until soft enough to be easily pierced with a fork.

When this happens, transfer them to the bowl of a food processor or blender along with the liquid, add the sugar and grated lemon zest. Grind everything to a smooth mass, which is cooled to room temperature.

Thaw the puff pastry and cut it into 4 parts. Start cooking one of them, and in the meantime store the rest in the refrigerator, wrapped tightly in plastic wrap.

Turn on the oven to preheat to 200 degrees, grease the bottom of the pan with oil.

Sprinkle the worktop with a little flour and place the dough on it.

Roll out two rectangles measuring 15 x 45 centimeters.

Fold one part of the sheet in half and roll out thinner, then make incisions with a sharp knife, as shown in the photo. The width of the strips should be about 2.5 centimeters.

Put the uncut leaf in a suitable tray, spread half of the apricot filling on it, leaving 2.5 cm free at the edges. Smear them with water.

Roll out the cut dough and place it on the filling. Pinch the ends with your fingers.

Cut 1 cm of dough at the edges, roll the strips on the surface spirally. Mix honey with 2 tablespoons of water and spread the pie. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Form the rest of the dough in the same way.

Bake the pies in a preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve.

Enjoy your meal!
