We present you an idea for tomato soup with carrots, celery and basil - a delicious and healthy appetizer. The ingredients are for 8 servings , and the preparation will take you about 1 hour .

 

Necessary products

  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 15 baby carrots, thinly sliced
  • 2 stalks of celery, finely chopped
  • 3 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 liter of tomato sauce
  • 1 1/4 tea cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped basil
  • 1 tablespoon oregano, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 tea whipped cream
  • salt and pepper to taste

 

Method of preparation

Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Put onions, carrots, celery and garlic inside. Fry for about 10 minutes until the vegetables are soft.

Pour the tomato sauce, chicken broth, basil and oregano into the pan. Increase the temperature a little and let the soup simmer for 15-20 minutes.

After removing the soup from the heat, divide it into several parts and beat each part in a blender with cream.

Put the finished soup on the stove for another 5 minutes on high heat. Serve while still warm. Enjoy your meal.
