Required products :
- 1 kg of wild strawberries
- 1 kg of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon water
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Method of preparation :
- Clean the strawberries and wash them thoroughly under cold running water.
- Drain and transfer to a deep saucepan.
- Add the sugar and water and heat over medium heat until the mixture boils.
- Reduce the heat and cook the jam on low heat for about 45 minutes or until thickened to the desired consistency.
- Remove the pan from the heat and add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Stir well.
- Distribute the jam in pre-washed and dried jars, close tightly and turn upside down until cool.
- Serve with muffins, pancakes, strained yogurt or use to make your favorite pastries.
Note!
The oil is added as it significantly reduces the formation of foam.
