Required products :

  • 1 kg of wild strawberries
  • 1 kg of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon water
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Method of preparation :

 

  • Clean the strawberries and wash them thoroughly under cold running water.
  • Drain and transfer to a deep saucepan.
  • Add the sugar and water and heat over medium heat until the mixture boils.
  • Reduce the heat and cook the jam on low heat for about 45 minutes or until thickened to the desired consistency.
  • Remove the pan from the heat and add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Stir well.
  • Distribute the jam in pre-washed and dried jars, close tightly and turn upside down until cool.
  • Serve with muffins, pancakes, strained yogurt or use to make your favorite pastries.

Note!

The oil is added as it significantly reduces the formation of foam.
