Lime blossom is harvested for the winter by drying it during the period of active flowering of trees. In most cases, this is the end of June. Collect linden flowers in the morning, in warm weather, when most of them have already blossomed, and the rest of the flowers are in buds. It is not recommended to collect flowers during rain.
Since the linden inflorescences are quite difficult to separate from the leaves, cut them with scissors. Inflorescences should be cut along with the wings. The flowers themselves must be healthy.
For a family of 4, it will be enough for a year to collect 1 kilogram of fresh flowers and dry them. Most often, linden flowers are dried outside in a shady place, covered with gauze. But, if you have an electric dryer, you can dry linden flowers in just 2-3 hours. Store dried lime flowers in a dark place in paper bags.
