Giving up sweets is a great feat for most women. But if you manage to do it, your body will be grateful and will repay you along with the interest.

Some can't live without eating a piece of chocolate every day, others are just indifferent to this temptation. Where is the reason why you feel drawn to sweets and how to give them up and pasta?

You probably think that the one who invented pies, candies and chocolate probably hated women :). As the saying goes: "one moment in the mouth, and a lifetime on the thighs" ... yes, and not only.

Why do you eat sweets and pasta?

The point is not that you lack willpower. No force here can help you fight against your nature. The body is a complex thing. We will try to explain it as understandably as possible.

Sweets and pastriesare carbohydrates, simple carbohydrates that, when ingested, are converted into sugar or in other words - into glucose. The glucose from the simple carbohydrates we eat is often much more than the required amount, and this in turn raises blood sugar levels also above normal. This is not a typical situation for the body and it begins to lower blood sugar with the help of insulin, which is produced by the pancreas. Of course, the sugar level drops, drops and turns out to be below normal. The body needs a portion of glucose, but it can get it by sending a signal to the brain and nervous system, and they in turn dictate that you eat something sweet, because you can get sugar by taking carbohydrates. This creates a vicious circle, but fortunately, you could easily "break" it.

How is this supposed to happen?

  • In order not to get sick of sweets, it is necessary to start the day with a proper breakfast. It should consist of porridge - complex carbohydrates, not simple (so muesli and muffins with butter are not suitable), fruit or dried fruit.
  • The next step is to eat regularly, for example every 3 hours, ie not to starve. In this way, the blood sugar level will be maintained throughout the day, unless you include pies in your tea, for example.
  • It is very important to replace simple carbohydrates with complex ones. Instead of rolls and snacks, eat whole grains, fruits, dried fruits or vegetables.
  • Another step that should not be underestimated in the fight against sweets: stay as far away from it as possible - do not carry such foods in your bag, do not have them at home and at work. And let the guests, who have brought some sweetness for coffee or tea, take the rest with them on departure.

Observance of these rules leads to a significant reduction in the desire to consume sweets or to its complete disappearance.
