Obesity Corrupts Attempts To Conceive

Obesity reduces the chances of getting pregnant in proportion to the degree of overweight.

In Amsterdam, a study was conducted among young girls who have normal ovulation but have difficulty conceiving (pregnancy). Doctors have focused on the relationship between body mass index and fertility (the possibility of pregnancy). It turns out that the latter is significantly reduced in women with a body mass index over 30.

One of the alleged causes is the hormonal imbalance caused by high levels of adipose tissue. It itself produces the hormone leptin, and on the other hand, steroid hormones are metabolized and estrogen levels are increased.

However, doctors do not rule out the possibility that the reason is simply reduced libido and less frequent sexual intercourse in these women.
