The latest observations of experts show that parents are responsible for the weight of their children. They are the ones who can make them eat enough fruits and vegetables during the day. If adults tend to consume fast food and fizzy drinks, then so will the habits of children. Another important aspect in this direction is the widespread use of fast-food restaurants.

The results were obtained in a survey of adolescents in California, USA. Children whose parents are malnourished are 40% more likely to engage in unhealthy activities on a daily basis than those whose families are more diligent. If adults regularly include fruits and vegetables in the menu, then the little ones would do it 16% more likely. About 10% less are those who would not eat often in a fast-food restaurant, although their parents can afford it, compared to children whose family this is not a practice.

Specialists in the field of metabolic diseases again reminded of the role of example at home. However, the social factor should not be underestimated.
