A medium-sized pear (approximately 178 g) contains 101 calories, 0 g fat, 27 g carbohydrates, including 17 g sugar and 6 g fiber, and 1 g protein. 
 
Consumption of a medium-sized pear can provide 12% of the daily requirement of vitamin C , as well as 10% of the daily vitamin K required . It supplies another 6% of the required potassium and smaller amounts of iron, magnesium, riboflavin , vitamin B-6 and folic acid.
