Peppers Melt The Extra Pounds

The non-spicy analogue of capsaicin - dihydrocapdiate also accelerates fat burning ...

Researchers have found that the heat released by our body after eating hot peppers can actually increase calories burned and melt excess fat.

Scientists explain that those who do not like spicy can easily enjoy the same results, taking the main ingredient capsaicin through some non-spicy varieties of Czech.

The spicy and even burning taste of pepper is the result of thousands of years of evolution. Their specific taste and bright color are a kind of protection that drives away grazing animals. However, people liked the spicy taste, and hot peppers have become an integral part of the diet of many cultures around the world for thousands of years.

Scientists, intrigued by the ability of this vegetable to warm the body and cause sweating, believe that pepper can be successfully used in diets to reduce weight.

There are some types of peppers that contain a non-spicy version of capsaicin called dihydrocapsiate (DCT), and therefore have all of its health benefits, but not the pungent taste and pungent odor.

Researchers from the University of California in the United States conducted an experimental study on the effects of hot peppers on body weight. The experiment involved 34 men and women who for 28 days had to follow a low-calorie diet based mainly on liquid foods and beverages.

Randomly, the volunteers were divided into two groups. The first was given a dietary supplement developed on the basis of the non-spicy dihydrocaptide - an analogue of capsaicin. The second group of participants was given a placebo.

The collected data provided convincing evidence that a few hours after taking the dietary supplement containing DCT, energy consumption increased significantly

The study's lead author, Dr. David Heber, said calories burned were nearly twice as many as those who took placebo.

The results of the study prove that even the consumption of weak or non-hot pepper accelerates the burning of fat.

The beneficial properties of DCT in combination with a low-calorie diet can successfully speed up metabolism and help obese people to lose weight.

Dr. Heber and his team will present the results of their research at the annual conference on experimental biology.
