In other words: for the digestion of products with negative calories, the body expends more calories than they contain. But this does not mean that carrots have minus 2 kcal. Therefore, the term "negative calorie products" is wrong, but still used very often.

It is usually recommended to consume up to 500 grams of vegetables and the same amount of fruit per day. If you want to keep your figure in good condition, replace lunch or dinner with low-calorie products or dishes prepared from them. Take them raw, because this way the body will have to work longer than if you eat them after heat treatment.

  • Chew food carefully at all times. It is believed that if you swallow a piece of meat or an apple, more energy is required for their digestion. But this is not true: if the product is not well enough mechanically processed in the mouth (chewed), it will not be partially absorbed. When a person chews a hard carrot, he expends energy for this process, as well as for the secretion of saliva and enzymes, and for the preparation of the gastrointestinal tract and all systems of work. All this burns calories.
  • And one more trick: try to consume all foods, including those with a negative caloric content, in pieces, not ground. Soft, chopped, shredded and pureed foods are digested faster - less energy is needed to process them. Choose the roasted meat in front of the meatball, the vegetable soup in front of the cream soup, crumble apples and celery stalks without cutting them into pieces, etc.
