Beets contain vitamins and minerals that are good for the heart, liver, digestion, energy, etc.

Beets are an extremely healthy food due to their high content of vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamin A, B, C, K, E, potassium, calcium, magnesium, folic acid, soluble fiber, protein, thiamine, niacin, riboflavin , carbohydrates and antioxidants. 


Beets are a vegetable that can lower blood pressure. Researchers have found that people who drink beet juice every day lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure. The study claims that consuming about 500 grams of beets a day can lower blood pressure within a few hours. This is thought to be due to the compounds in the juice that are converted to nitric acid in the blood and help dilate and relax the blood vessels.


Beetroot juice is also useful in helping the liver not to be overloaded by a poor diet, excessive alcohol consumption, exposure to toxic substances or a sedentary lifestyle. The juice is extremely healthy for detox because it contains betaine, a substance that helps prevent or reduce fatty deposits in the liver.



Beets are also very useful for good digestion. Because beets are a good source of fiber, it helps the health of the digestive system, which protects against conditions such as constipation and diverticulitis. Beets are considered a laxative as it helps regulate bowel movements. Fiber is also associated with a reduced risk of chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes , colon cancer and others.


Beets are good to eat regularly and because it protects the body from tumors . This is due to betacyanin, which reduces the likelihood of breast and prostate cancer by 12.5%.


Beets are also used as a vegetable, which helps increase endurance, as it increases energy levels . A 2012 study found that drinking beetroot juice increased physical performance. Consumption of beets can improve athletic performance, but should be taken 2-3 hours before training or competition. Therefore, beets are considered an ideal food for athletes.
