A Cup Of Green Tea Against Alzheimer's And Cancer

Consumption of green tea in the body produces compounds that destroy toxins in it.

Consumption of green tea in the digestive system produces substances that act as a defense mechanism against two of the most terrible diseases of mankind, Alzheimer's disease and cancer, according to a new study published in the journal Phytomedicine.

When green tea is absorbed by the digestive system with the help of enzymes, compounds are formed that neutralize toxins, says Dr. Okelo, head of the study.

Green tea has long had a reputation as a healthy product. It is also said to help reduce the risk of developing certain tumors. Drinking green tea can also prevent dementia or Alzheimer's, according to Dr. Okelo.

Green tea extract can block the development of chronic lymphocytic leukemia and protect the brain from unwanted memory loss. Moreover, it can serve as a prevention against breast cancer.

Green tea has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries, which is sufficient proof of the effectiveness of the product, says Okelo.
