Dementia is a syndrome that is characterized by an acquired decrease in mental activity and impaired social adaptation of the patient (reduced ability to work and self-care). The disease develops as a result of brain damage.
Disorders such as: impaired cognitive functions (concentration, speech, memory, gnosis praxis), difficulty making decisions, as well as planning and controlling actions are observed.
Such a health problem occurs mainly in the elderly, as they have the development of vascular and degenerative diseases, atrophic changes in the brain.
For prevention against the development of dementia and in the presence of the problem, the consumption of products containing cholesterol should be avoided.
